Arsenal players resume training, promise adherence to social distancing
Arsenal players has announced resumption for training at London Colney training grounds.
According to Arsenal spokesperson, the resumption is slated for Monday April 27, 2020.
He said the club would adhere strictly to government directives on social distancing. He added that no group sessions would be allowed during training and players would have to train on rotational basis.
“Club, training would hold but access would be limited in order to maintain total social distancing order as players would not be allowed to come into contact with each other.
“Players will be permitted access to our London Colney training grounds next week. Access will be limited, carefully managed and social distancing will be maintained at all times,” he said.
Similarly, building at the club’s training ground would remain closed, but individual workouts would be allowed on the outdoor pitches.
“All Colney buildings remain closed. Players will travel alone, do their individual workout and return home,” he added.
Meanwhile, last week several Arsenal star players like Granit Xhaka, Nicolas Pepe, David Luiz,and Alexandre Lacazette violated the stay-at-home order as they were caught engaging in various activities that flouted stay-at-home and social distancing directives.
Pepe was seen in a video playing football with friends, Lacazette got too close to a man valeting is car, while Luiz and Xhaka were seen in a north London park.
