Florida man released from Jail commits murder crime
A Florida man has been accused of killing a man a day after he was released from jail.

Williams, who was released following the preventive measures to curtail the spread of coronavirus in correction facilities, was arrested on suspicion of heroin possession, a third-degree felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
“He was allegedly involved in the slaying of a man who was fatally shot on March 20 in the Progress Village community,” authorities said.
According to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, “Edward Williams, 26, of Tampa, was arrested Monday and is facing charges of second-degree murder, gun possession, violently resisting an officer, drug possession and paraphernalia possession.”
Chad Chronister, a Hillsborough County Sheriff commented on this saying that Williams unquestionably took advantage of health emergency to commit crimes.
“There is no question Joseph Williams took advantage of this health emergency to commit crimes while he was out of jail awaiting resolution of a low-level, non-violent offense,” said Chronister.
The sheriff however said had Williams being able to raise a bond of $2,500, he would have been released on those prior charges.
Meanwhile, In a move to contain spread of Covid-19, Hillsborough County detention facilities, inmates and staff, the state judge had ordered the local sheriff to see to the release of any “Pretrial detainee arrested for a municipal or county ordinance violation, a misdemeanor offense, a criminal traffic offense, or a third-degree felony offense.”
Hillsborough County Sheriff in a statement confirmed the motive behind the order said, “The order was drafted in an effort to lower the risk of the spread of COVID-19 within the Hillsborough County detention facilities and to protect the inmates, deputies and civilian staff working within the jails,”
