NASFAT youth organize advancement training for Amirahs, HODs
The Nasrul-lahi-li Fathi Society (NASFAT), Nigeria, has organized two-day training for all the Amirahs and Heads of Dawah in the southwestern zone of the Society.
The training, which was held between Friday March 6th and Sunday March 8th, 2020 at D Czars Hotel and Suite in Ota, Ogun State, was themed: ‘My Role and my Spirituality.’
According to the National Amirah, Hajjia Kafayat Oyewo Oyelere, the training was aimed at equipping the leaders with skills needed to carry out their responsibilities as expected.
She stated that the Prophet (SAW) mandated every Muslim to acquire knowledge by all means.
“We have organized this Dawah Advancement Training for all the Amirahs and Heads of Dawah from the southwest zone of NASFAT,” she said.
“It should be noted that seeking knowledge is compulsory in Islam. And that was what brought about this initiative.
“The Amirahs and HODs have gone through some rigorous training and they have acquired skills that will guide them in the discharge of their responsibilities,” she noted.
She added that the training would be held in stages. She stressed that this first stage was held in conjunction with the Islamic Education Trust (IET) of Minna, which issued a certificate to every participant at the end of the training.
Commenting on the program, NASFAT’s National Head of Dawah, Alhaji Abdulqudus Olayiwola, commended the participants for their readiness and willingness to broaden their horizon.
He noted that knowledge is power. Making reference to the words of Prophet (SAW), he stressed that nothing tangible could be done in life without knowledge.
“The aim of this training is to ensure that our Amirahs and Heads of Dawah are up to the task assigned to them. And acquisition of knowledge is essential in order to achieve this,” he said.
“So, I would leverage this avenue to enjoin the participants to utilize the knowledge acquired at this training to retrain other members of NASFAT and teach them all the good things about Islam,” he added.
While explaining the rationale behind the training, the wife of NASFAT Chief Missioner and a facilitator at the training, Alhaja Sadiat Onike, stated the it was essential to train Amirahs and HODs. She affirmed that the responsibilities assigned to them required continuous training to enable them perform excellently.
“As Amirahs and Heads of Dawh, other members will go to them to ask questions and seek guidance. In order to satisfy those who approach them, there is a need to train the Amirahs and Heads of Dawh,” she said.
“They represent Allah and the Prophet (SAW). In order not to misrepresent Allah, all the things they need must be given to them. That is the reason for this training.
“Also, they need to attend to Islamic issues. We believe this training will help them,” she concluded.
Imam Saheed Oladele, one of the Heads of Dawah from NASFAT, Owutu Branch, applauded the organizers of the training. He stated that initiative was laudable.
“Considering the volume of the tasks before the Amirahs and HODs, this kind of training is highly essential,” he said.
“I would equally commend Alhaji Abdulqudus Olayiwola, the National HOD and Hajjia Kafayat Oyewo Oyelere, the National Amirah, including all Nasfat National Youth Excos for making this year’s training a remarkable one,” he added.
Meanwhile, Nasfat Chief Missioner, Al Imam Maruf Abdulazeez Onike, commended the orgainzers and delegates for their perseverance and turn out for the training.
