Some key leaders of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) have died in an air bombardment.

The Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, disclosed this on Saturday 22 February, 2020.

The Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, routed the terrorists at Jubillaram and Alinwa in the Northern part of Borno State.

The terrorists assembled for meetings at the two locations, and the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA Dole unleashed terror on them.

Ibikunle stated that the team executed the mission following the credible intelligence reports they received.

The meetings were holding simultaneously at two separate venues in Marte Local Government Area.

“The ATF used its attack aircraft to engage the venues. Consequently, they damaged the meeting venues and neutralized the terrorists,” he stated.

“The NAF will sustain its air campaign and shape the battle space in the Northeast. This will help in ground and air operations,” he added.
