Nigerian Army Unveils Armoured Vehicles to Tackle Security Threats

Muhammadu Buhari, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has again recorded a groundbreaking achievement in the country’s military.

Yesterday, the President unveiled locally-produced mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles and other armoured vehicles in Kaduna State.

While unveiling the vehicles at the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference, Kaduna, the President stated that they were designed to help in the fight a gains terrorism, militancy and insurgency in the country.

The Nigerian Army Conference is an avenue for strategic leaders and operational commanders assess and evaluate the Army’s activities for the year 2019 as well as make projections for improved engagements in 2020 and beyond.

This achievement has reiterated the commitment of the present administration to addressing emerging and future threats to national security.

“These armoured vehicles that were produced by DICON are testimonies that the government’s effort is yielding positive results,” Buhari said.

“In this regard, it is pertinent to acknowledge the establishment of the Army University, Biu, the Army Resource Center in the Army War College to further boost intellectual capacities in the forces,” he added.

It is commendable that the country’s army as a critical force of the national security is involved in innovative and inventive ventures to become a reliable and strong section of the country’s security force.

It is evident that Buhari’s administration has recorded a lot of achievements since inception.

While this innovative idea is appreciated, the President promised that the Nigerian Army would be further motivated and encouraged to trigger more innovations.
