Guru Nanak’s fan celebrates birthday of founder of Sikh religion
Gurdas pur: Guru Nanak Gurpurab celebrated the day of founder of Sikh religion in order to commemorate the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak on November 4, 2017.
According to news reporter Rich Taneja, “A devotee praying at the Gurdwara for the occasion of Gurpurab.
On Saturday November 4, 2017 according to Sikh community, “It is most sacred day in Sikhism and will be celebrated across India and in the world.”
Some of the officials told, “The day associated with the Guru,
“Gurpurab is made of two words; “Guru” means master and “Purab” means the link with the day.
“The festivals during Guru Nanak Jayanti are centered around the birthday anniversaries of the 10 Gurus,” he added, “Guru Gobind Singh was the tenth and the last Guru.
“After him, Adi Granath or Guru Granth Sahib which has the writings of the gurus is considered the guru.”
It had been reported the Sikh all around the world arrived Nankana Sahib in Pakistan to visit his tomb and celebrate his 548th birthday of Guru Nanak which varies from year to year according to Indian Lunar calendar.
However, according to book “ethics” Guru Nanak didn’t preach any religion but people started worshiping him after his death. He strongly condemned the caste system in Hinduism.
