One year old infant’s body recovered after 56 hours in New Delhi
New Delhi: Police recovered the body of one-year-old daughter who was drained by her own drunken father, according to NDTV news report, “The body was fished out after 56 hours.”
On September 23rd, 2017 police arrested the suspected father, who after argument with his wife handed his own daughter to terrific waves.
Romil Baaniya, deputy commissioner of police (south-east ) told media that man (who was arrested) killed his own blood in unconsciousness while arguing his wife; he took the child with anger and threw her in a drain in Jamia Nagar.
The wife on investigation told that his husband demanded for more money and beat her badly, while telling the story tears rolled down on her cheeks.
“I have only one daughter, my womb is thrown. He came to my work place, abused me and then went to house, kidnapped my blood and threw her away.
“I am working in many houses and as I collected my stipend from them, he always took it from me,” she wept and had shown her wounds. I haven’t money on that day that’s why he killed my baby.”
Police consequently arrested that brutal father who even didn’t recognize his own offspring. He had a charge of kidnapping and killing one year old infant.
Social activist for Women Rights said, “I don’t understand why people threw their own daughters in to the hell.
“When parents knew that Rashid Jamal(murderer) used to drunk. Then why the parents allowed her to marry him,” she added, “The reality is 95% girls in our country are not allowed to take their own marriage decisions. They are only informed about their marriage date but not about their husbands. As we are living in man’s dominant society if a girl refused to marry, something she is being tortured or sometimes she is killed in the name of so called honour-killing.”
Police further disclosed that by the time Jamal’s wife Mofida Begum could seek help from family members and neighbours, the murdered had already thrown the baby-girl into nearby drain.
