NBCI Denounces President Donald Trump

Washington, DC – The National Black Church Initiative (NBCI), a faith-based coalition of 34,000 churches comprised of 15 denominations and 15.7 million African Americans, believes that this is another example of the President’s racial insensitivity towards African Americans. His political calculation not to denounce white supremacy adds another stitch in the quilt of racial injustice and intolerance that has continued for 400 years in this country. He wanted to perpetuate the notion that no matter what the composition and landscape of this country is, white people should always be on top and they should always be right.

This is a foolish and deeply psychological and sick notion that is even being perpetuated by those who say that they are not racists. The only question they have to ask themselves is, can a Black person do my job better or would I recommend a qualified African American over and against my close white friend for the position? Many will say yes but will do nothing to make this a reality. NBCI holds the notion that racism can be found in most white people whether Democratic, Republican, Conservative or Liberal.

Rev. Anthony Evans President of the National Black Church Initiative says, “It has taken us over 70 years in this country to have the moral authority to force a President to confront his racist ideology and his heart. At this rate we will never eliminate racism, bigotry and eradicate white supremacy from the epitaph of American democracy. This is why the Black Church will support a radical change on how we economically sanction an individual or organization that systematically discriminates and violates ones civil and human rights. If you punish them economically they will change faster than the 400 years that African Americans have suffered in this country. This is why the Black Church believes that there is hope for President Trump to realize the deep arrogance of his distorted personality – in Christ.”

We will not utilize the balance of this press release to talk about the President’s lack of humanity towards African Americans, but, we will talk about three things that the nation can do right now that will begin to transform our society:

1.      We need to establish a racial healing commission in every state, city and county in this country and always be reminded to balance our opportunities for everyone.

2.      We must attack and cut out the white, racist, nationalism that exists in our 18,000 police departments across the country.

3.      We must change our discriminatory law, to punish severely, any individual, group or even country that is found guilty of racial discrimination by charging them $5,000,000.00 per violation of someone’s Civil Rights, even if it is a first time offence.

This is why reparation is important.

This is a capitalist country and in order to change the very nature of an individual and his actions and even his notion of fairness is to apply the most severe economic sanctions against them or their family in order to realize the depth of what they are destroying. This is not a foreign notion of economic sanctions, even against individuals, we impose economic individual sanctions on people around the world on practically a daily basis. Coupled with our existing Civil Rights Laws we will see racism eliminated in a shorter time than if we do nothing at all which only perpetuates the problem for the next 100 years.

We cannot change people’s hearts, nor their minds and not even their souls. We can however attack them economically to make sure that their behavior towards one another will cost them dearly. Racism must stop and the Black and White Church must play a decisive role in stopping it.
