Planning for Eid-al-Adha

Dear Neighbor,

This week I had several meetings to continue the work my office has been doing on improving our safety and transportation options. On Monday, I met with Inspector John G. Cappelmann of the 103rd Police Precinct, where we discussed commuter van enforcement for downtown Jamaica and other neighborhoods in the district where there have been repeated traffic violations. Also, with celebrations being planned for Eid-al-Adha, we went over the measures being prepared to keep our Muslim brothers and sisters safe and afforded an opportunity to have a prosperous Eid celebration.
