Dromm and Irish Caucus honor Kerry Kennedy at Irish Heritage Celebration at City Hall

City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito and City Council Members Daniel Dromm, Elizabeth Crowley, Jimmy Van Bramer and Corey Johnson presented Kerry Kennedy, president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights and daughter of the late Senator Robert F. Kennedy, with the Thomas Manton Person of the Year Award for her global work on civil rights at the City Council Irish Heritage Celebration at City Hall on Thursday, March 26.
“Kerry Kennedy has been one of the world’s foremost proponents of human rights,” said Council Member Daniel Dromm. “I was honored to present her with the Thomas Manton Person of the Year Award. The Council selected people who have fought strenuously for human dignity. Congratulations to all our honorees.”
The City Council also honored Irish Arts Center Executive Director Aidan Connolly, Sister Tesa Fitzgerald of Hour Children and Thomas Murphy of the UFT.
