Nana Kwaku Bonsam, which translates into the “Devil of Wednesday” has claimed responsibility for the injury of Portuguese player, Cristiano Ronaldo through the use of powers he commands as a witch doctor.

Bonsam is a feared and respected witch doctor in Ghana. The Independent reports that he claims, “to have conjured a special spirit from the gods using four dogs, several leaves and a concoction of powders placed around an image and a caricature of the Champions League winner.”

The man is brazen in that he has no problem claiming full responsibility for the injury. According to The Independent he was. “Speaking to Kumasi-based radio station Angel FM, [when] Bonsam said: ‘I know what Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury is about, I’m working on him…I am very serious about it.'”

“I said it four months ago that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously and rule him out of the World up or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana and the best thing I can do is to keep him out though injury,” he added to the radio station.

Ronaldo’s injuries were, as The Independent said, “tendinosis in his left knee, as well as a muscular problem in his left thigh.”

It is expected that he will be forced to sit out the the “second fixture against the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday.” He has already missed three games, leading up to the FIFA World Cup.
