Construction of biggest refinery in Egypt to start soon

Egypt is set to construct the biggest oil refinery in the country.

This comes after signing an agreement with an n Italian firm, Technip Italy to construct the refinery.

With the signing of that contract, the Italian company is about to become a new leader on the international business panorama.

The contract was signed with the Egyptian Soukhna Refinery and Petroleum Company to construct the country’s largest oil refinery
at Ain-Sokhna, approximately 120 km east of Cairo.

Present at the signing ceremony that took place yesterday were representatives of the Egyptian oil ministry and State Oil Company,
with President and CEO Tarek El-Barkatawy, representatives of Technip’s Egyptian partners, international financiers, Technip Italy
CEO Marco Villa and the project’s managers, and Ambassador of Italy to Cairo Maurizio Massari.
