All is set for the kick off of 2013 Africa cup of nations and millions of soccer lovers in Africa and other parts of the world are eagerly waiting to watch the matches on their television sets.

The tournament will begin tomorrow in South Africa capital, Johannesburg. All the expected teams have reportedly arrived in the country to participate.

Thousands of soccer fans from various African countries have also traveled to South Africa to support their countries. Football coaches
from Europe have also camped in south Africa to spot potential players
whom they can recruit into their teams.

Orange telecom company is the major sponsor of the popular tournament
which is being referred to as ‘The Orange Africa Cup of Nations, South
Africa 2013 tournament.’

‘We are grateful to Orange company which is once again the official partner of this major sporting event, the largest of its kind in
Africa. said one of the organizing officials, Nibus Kalenge.

He said that in addition to it’s role as sponsor, the event is particularly important for Orange because six of the teams who will be competing come from countries where the Group operates its own network. The countries include Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, Mali, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tunisia and Morocco.

Orange will be present on the ground in South African stadiums but will also offer a variety of digital services on mobile phones for which it has rights to exclusive content and on the website.

This event has also provided the pretext for Orange to launch its first retail activity in South Africa through two websites.
