The Gaza Strip’s death toll has soared to 48,346, with women and children constituting the majority of the victims since the onset of Israeli raging attacks on the enclave began in October 2023.
Additionally, at least 111,759 people have sustained injuries, further deepening the humanitarian crisis.
Medical sources confirmed that in the past 24 hours, seven bodies, including five retrieved from the rubble, arrived at hospitals, according to the Palestinian news agency, WAFA.
Additionally, six individuals were injured. However, the true scale of the tragedy remains unknown, as many victims are still trapped under debris, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams.
Although a ceasefire was declared on January 19, violence has persisted, with numerous civilians killed and wounded across various parts of Gaza.
The continued bloodshed highlights the fragility of the truce and the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in the region.
