The Gaza Health Ministry reported on Thursday that over 43,736 people have been killed in the more than 13-month-long conflict between Israel and Palestinian group, Hamas.

The recent toll includes 24 fatalities within the previous 24 hours, as the violence continues to escalate.

In addition to the rising death count, at least 103,370 people have been injured since the conflict’s start on October 7, 2023, when Hamas militants launched a major attack on Israel.

Earlier on Thursday, Gaza’s civil defense agency reported at least 10 fatalities from multiple Israeli airstrikes on the region.

Civil defense spokesperson Mahmud Bassal stated that “around 30 people, all civilians” sustained injuries in airstrikes that targeted Gaza City, Jabalia in the north, and Rafah in the south.

The toll underscores the significant humanitarian impact of the conflict, as ongoing strikes and escalating hostilities contribute to extensive civilian casualties and displacement in the Gaza Strip.
