In a devastating escalation in Gaza, 27 civilians—including women and children—were killed late Thursday in an Israeli airstrike on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to the Palestinian news agency, WAFA.

The strike reportedly targeted a home belonging to the al-Mubhouh family near the Abu Hussein School, leaving many dead and others critically injured.

Rescue teams are working to pull additional survivors from the rubble, but multiple individuals remain trapped as ambulances and emergency crews continue their efforts.

Elsewhere in Gaza, an airstrike on Al-Manshiya Street in Beit Lahia claimed another civilian life and injured several more, marking yet another site of destruction amid the ongoing violence.

In the occupied West Bank, the United Nations reported that Israeli forces killed 13 Palestinians and injured 26 in just eight days, while Israeli settlers launched 35 attacks causing injury to Palestinian people and damage to their property.

The conflict, now ongoing since October 7, 2023, has resulted in a toll of 43,469 lives lost and 102,561 injuries across the Gaza Strip.

Thousands remain unaccounted for, either trapped beneath collapsed buildings or unable to be reached due to ongoing strikes and extensive debris, posing immense challenges for the rescue teams working in the area.

The relentless attacks from land, sea, and air have compounded the destruction, leaving Gaza in crisis as rescue operations face mounting obstacles to save lives in the war-ravaged region.
