Sigh of relief for Lebanese women as aid from UAE lands in Beirut

Two relief planes from the United Arab Emirates have landed in Beirut, Lebanon, carrying 80 tonnes of essential supplies to support Lebanese women affected by the ongoing conflict.

The humanitarian effort is part of the “UAE stands with Lebanon” campaign, championed by ‘Mother of the Nation’ Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, a renowned advocate for women’s and children’s welfare.

The UAE’s ongoing support for Lebanon is crucial, especially for women who have been severely impacted by the conflict.

The second batch of relief supplies follows the first batch, which arrived on October 28, carrying an additional 80 tonnes of aid.

In total, four planes have landed in Beirut, delivering 160 tonnes of vital supplies to those in need.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak’s involvement underscores the importance of supporting vulnerable women and children in Lebanon.

As Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, her leadership has been instrumental in mobilizing aid efforts.

The “UAE stands with Lebanon” campaign demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to those affected by the conflict.

Through the initiative, the UAE aims to alleviate the suffering of Lebanese women and promote stability in the region.
