Prominent Islamic scholar Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb is calling out US President Joe Biden for giving Israel free rein to act without consequences, essentially paving the way for the country’s unrestrained actions.

Al-Tayeb, the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, criticizes Biden’s stance on the war in Israel and Gaza, suggesting that the president’s support enables Israel’s aggressive behavior.

He further noted, “The Democratic and Republican parties in the United States have disagreed on everything except their unconditional and unlimited support for the Zionist entity.”

The US has supplied Israel with billions in arms, even as it conducts what the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has termed “plausible genocide” against the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Over the past year, more than 42,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed due to Israel’s bombing campaign, although global medical teams estimate the actual death toll could be four times higher.

Sheikh Al-Tayeb met with Professor Jeffrey Sachs, president of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Solutions Network, in Cairo, as announced by Al-Azhar.

Al-Tayeb expressed concerns that no state or power has been able to stand up to the “evil Zionist schemes aimed at killing Palestinians, escalating conflicts, and turning the region and the entire world into a hotspot of wars and strife.”

He added: “I can only explain this by assuming that there are undisclosed American-Israeli interests.”

“I feel that the Zionist entity has exploited all its efforts under an American president (Joe Biden) who is loyal to Israel and allows it to do whatever it wants, without humanitarian or ethical constraints.”
