“We’re now prepared to land hundreds or thousands of missiles,” Iran tells Israel as conflict escalates

Iran has issued a stern warning to Israel, threatening to unleash a massive retaliation if attacked.

Ebrahim Jabbari, a senior commander and advisor to IRGC chief commander Hossein Salami, declared that Iran is prepared to launch operations far exceeding the previous one, which involved nearly 200 ballistic missiles.

“We’re ready to land hundreds or thousands of missiles in Israel’s occupied territories, targeting their security, military, and economic centers,” Jabbari cautioned.

Jabbari emphasized Israel’s vulnerability due to its relatively small geographical size compared to Iran. He warned that Israel must carefully consider the consequences of provoking an Iranian response.

“We are a vast country. We have created the capability to strike from other points in the country if any one of our points are hit. But what are they going to do? The US won’t dare enter into battle with us, but we can quickly plow that little territory,” Jabbari said in reference to Israel.

This statement comes after Iran launched a significant attack on Israeli targets on October 1, 2024, codenamed Operation True Promise 2, in retaliation for Israel’s assassinations of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The October 1 attack involved several ballistic missiles, marking the largest attack during the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.

While Israel reported minimal damage and successfully intercepted most of the missiles, Iran’s willingness to escalate tensions has raised concerns regionally and internationally.

In response to Iran’s threats, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that Iran “will pay” for its actions. The US has also pledged severe consequences and promised to work with Israel to ensure Iran faces repercussions.
