Jordan’s foreign ministry and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have strongly denounced Israel’s escalating military actions in the occupied Palestinian territories, specifically the recent attack on the Tulkarm refugee camp in the West Bank.

The attack resulted in 18 deaths and numerous injuries, and is widely regarded as a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian principles.

Sufian Qudah, spokesperson for Jordan’s foreign ministry, emphasized that Israel bears full responsibility for the violence in Tulkarm, demonstrating its disregard for global efforts to establish peace. Qudah urged the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to intervene and protect Palestinian civilians.

The situation is dire, with eight incidents in Gaza over the past 24 hours resulting in 99 deaths and 169 injuries.

The OIC has denounced the actions as war crimes, calling for Israel to be held accountable in international courts. The organization recognizes this violence as part of a long history of Israeli violations of international humanitarian and human rights law.

The OIC and Jordan’s foreign ministry are pressing for swift action from global institutions like the International Criminal Court. They also urge the UN Security Council to impose an immediate ceasefire, halting the aggression and promoting regional security and stability.
