Poverty in Somalia: Govt joins global effort to combat menace

Poverty in Somalia may soon become a thing of the past as the East Africa country has officially joined the Multidimensional Poverty Peer Network (MPPN) to mark a major advancement in the country’s efforts to address poverty through a more comprehensive approach.

This membership comes as Somalia develops its pilot Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI), aligning with a global community committed to a holistic approach to measuring and combating poverty.
