Al-Azhar fumes over Zionist aggression in West Bank, calls for reinforced boycott of products
Egypt’s Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the oldest and most prestigious seat of Sunni Islamic learning, has strongly condemned the “Zionist terrorist aggression” in the West Bank, denouncing the destruction of infrastructure, killing and injury of dozens, and arrest of hundreds.
Al-Azhar warned of a Zionist plan to “seize ownership, Judaize landmarks, kill Palestinian owners and citizens, and commit a new genocide” in the occupied territories.
The institution also warned of the danger of this violation to regional security and stability, calling on the global community to assume its responsibilities toward the “massacres committed by the Zionist killing machine.”
Al-Azhar emphasized the need to stop “unscrupulous Zionist plans” aimed at taking lives, stealing land, and falsifying history, stating that the current situation is like a “law of the jungle.”
The institution urged the Muslim world to “harness all political, diplomatic and popular resources and reinforce the boycott of Zionist products, toward protecting Palestinian lives, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the noble city of Jerusalem, to repel the aggression against our brethren in Palestine, and let everyone know that this enemy was planted in our lands not to live with us in peace — as they allege — but to devour the Arab body piecemeal if possible, knowing that history and reality are the best witnesses to this fact.”
