Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan is set to lead a formidable Saudi Arabian delegation to the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2024 in Davos, taking place from January 15 to 19.

The overarching theme for this year’s gathering is “Rebuilding Trust,” a poignant reflection of the global imperative to address challenges and restore confidence in international institutions amid escalating volatility.

Comprising distinguished personalities, the Saudi delegation includes Saudi Ambassador to the US Princess Reema bint Bandar, Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Alkassabi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Aljubeir, Minister of Investment Khalid Al Falih, Minister of Finance Mohammed Aljadaan, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, and Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim. This diverse assembly underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to collaborative global problem-solving.

The 54th Annual Meeting is poised to address humanitarian, climate, social, and economic challenges. The Saudi delegation aims to actively engage with the international community, advocating for global collaboration, economic resilience, sustainable resource security, and human-centric innovation. An integral part of their agenda involves discussions on the influence of emerging technologies on policymaking and decision-making processes.

During the event, the delegation will spotlight Saudi Arabia’s strides under Saudi Vision 2030, emphasizing transformation, diversification, and development across various sectors. Additionally, they will showcase investment opportunities within the Kingdom’s robust economy. Economic competitiveness will be a central focus, with insights shared on enhancing Saudi Arabia’s appeal as a hub for private and foreign investments.

Addressing the forum, the Saudi delegation will elaborate on the Kingdom’s strategies and best practices in fostering economic resilience and achieving financial sustainability, aligning with the goals of economic diversification and sustainable growth outlined in Saudi Vision 2030. Representatives from over 100 governments, major international organizations, over 1,000 key private sector entities, civil society, and academic institutions will participate, facilitating a robust exchange of ideas and experiences.
