NASFAT supplies relief packages to 350 members

As part of efforts to support members of its society during this lockdown, Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society, Owutu Branch, Ikorodu Lagos, has provided relief packages to 350 members.

The packages, an initiative of the branch executive board, were aimed at cushioning the economic effects of Covid-19 among the members.

While disclosing this, the branch Chairman, Alhaji Moshood Ojuolape, stated that, “This gesture is essential at this trying time. We have to reach out to our members as a society.”

“We are doing our best to complement the efforts of the government,” he added.

Confirming the disbursement of the packages to Muslim Media Corporation, Head of Dawah, Lagos Zone 1, Imam Saheed Oladele, stated that, “Humanitarian services have always been part of NASFAT’s programs.”

“This gesture is not limited to Owutu Branch; it is across all our branches. We are determined to supporting and relieving our members, especially during a trying time like this,” he added.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Ojuolape leveraged the avenue to appeal to all members of NASFAT and the public to continue to comply with the directives and all the preventive measures announced by the government.

“We should not fail to comply with social distancing and maintain personal hygiene to curtail the spread of coronavirus.

“Allah has blessed us with another month of Ramadan. Let’s leverage this privilege to seek forgiveness from Allah and pray to Him to end this pandemic,” he concluded.
